To mark the 60th anniversary of MIRDC, a public tree-planting event was jointly held with I Plant For Life Corporation Aggregate, Kaohsiung, in District 15 of Qieding on December 5, 2023. This event was led by Chairman Ren-Yi Lin and President Yung-Hsiang Lai, accompanied by 20 first-level executives who personally participated in 300 plantings. In addition to driving national policies and assisting industries through the power of scientific research, we can also lead by example and start with greening the environment. Through tree-planting activities, we actively contribute to the earth and carbon reduction efforts, reducing the negative impact of greenhouse gases on the environment. |

On November 16th and 17th, 2023, MIRDC held the "APEC Cross-border Digital Health Forum" in Taipei and Tainan, respectively, showcasing the achievements of the Department of Industrial Technology, MOEA, in promoting the digital transformation of Taiwan's dental medical materials and medical institutions. Representatives from more than six APEC member economies attended the forum to explore smart and remote medical-related technologies, research capabilities, and policy experiences within the APEC economies. MIRDC has obtained international certification as a Standard Training Organization from the Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organization (OPITO), and now offers six training courses, including Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET), that are essential for developing personnel for offshore wind farm projects in Taiwan. MIRDC is the first organization in Taiwan to receive OPITO's international certification for training. |
