2022 03 MIRDC and In-Trust Cloud Technology have signed an MOU to leverage both parties' resources, technology, and market advantages. In collaboration, both parties will integrate their respective technologies and products and recognize each other's products as the standard for their solutions, further deepening their strategic cooperation.
2022 02 MIRDC has completed the TAF for renewal accreditation the chemical testing laboratory.
2022 01 MIRDC has completed the mechanical inspection & test laboratory by TAF surveillance.
2022 01 MIRDC undertook the Angstrom Semiconductor Initiative commissioned by the Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA. MIRDC aided the IDB in formulating a semiconductor equipment development strategy, establishing a subsidy mechanism for the semiconductor equipment verification program, and facilitating collaboration between domestic equipment manufacturers and global benchmark semiconductor manufacturing giants. This collaboration covered everything from whole-machine development to process verification and actively promoted the participation of foreign equipment suppliers in Taiwan's supply chain. Supply chain inventory and value-added technical matters facilitated cooperation between domestic manufacturers and international semiconductor equipment suppliers. Furthermore, it assisted domestic manufacturers in entering foreign supply chains, realizing the goal of equipment "localization." The project performed excellently in the IDB's outline plan performance evaluation program.
2022 01 MIRDC executed the Development and Promotion Project of National Defense in Aerospace and Shipbuilding Industries in 2021, commissioned by the Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA. The project aims to assist domestic manufacturers in developing critical technologies in military or civil aviation structures and aero-engine components and developing products in aviation structures or aero-engine components. Additionally, the project assists domestic companies in acquiring civil aviation certifications, assists the shipbuilding industry in overcoming design and construction challenges, and helps ship equipment manufacturers to bolster propulsion systems or essential equipment development to ensure meeting the requirements of the Navy or Coast Guard Administration. The project has achieved an excellent program for evaluating the performance of the IDB outline plan.
2022 01 MIRDC's Industrial Innovation and Service Section obtain lead verifiers for the ISO 14064:2018 greenhouse gas inventory standard.
2021 12 MIRDC's "Structural Inspection, Repair and Operation & Maintenance Technology Promotion Program of Offshore Wind Farm" has obtained the Bronze Award of 2021 Venergy in the category of technical R&D issued by Bureau of Energy, MOEA.
2021 12 MIRDC used biological calcium carbonate (wasted oyster shells) and mineral silica (marble waste) to establish Renewable Polymorphic Transition (Poly-T) Materials and combine binder jetting additive manufacturing technology. Poly- T Materials assisted National Museum of Marine Science & Technology introduce bionic artificial island reef for coral restoration application. The coral restoration growing speed increased 30% to make contribution for marine ecology.
2021 12 MIRDC has become the first training organization for GWO blade repair in Asia/Pacific (excluding China).
2021 12 MIRDC introduced 3D printing sand casting technology into metal related process to set up visually impaired assistive device, facilitating those who are visuallly imparied to know the contents of artwork through touch and has received the recognition of “Time Magazine” Best Inventions of 2021 - Special Award.”
