2023 10 The term of office for the 23rd directors and supervisors of this center ends on November 4, 2022. If the election for the 24th directors and supervisors is not completed before the aforementioned date, the 23rd directors and supervisors will continue to serve until the 24th directors and supervisors take office.
2023 10 MIRDC signed an MOU with CHOKO CO., LTD. to promote the development of domestic industry carbon reduction technology and industrial applications, and to collaborate on the development of adsorbent material forming and equipment technology.
2023 10 The project "Industry-Academia Twinning Program for Promoting Local Industrial Technology Value-added Innovation" under the commission of DOIT, was awarded the "Outstanding Industrial-Academic Cooperation Award" by the Chinese Institute of Engineers in 2023.
2023 10 Electrochemical Machining System for Intelligent Electrode with 3D Variable Curvature (EMS)" combines electrical discharge machining technology to replace traditional machining and can be applied to the processing of structural parts with complex structures and difficult-to-machine materials. Currently, it has been successfully used in the manufacturing verification of aerospace turbofan engine diffusers. The EMS has also won the R&D100 Awards.
2023 10 The Metal Industries Research and Development Centre (MIRDC), in collaboration with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy S.A. (SGRE) and National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST), launched Taiwan's first "Wind Power Technician Internship Program" for current students. The program allows them to intern as wind power technicians at an offshore wind farm. After completing MIRDC and SGRE pre-employment training, they were able to move on to offshore wind farms and offshore wind turbine pre-assembly plants, where they now work alongside active technicians. They are responsible for the service operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms as well as the onshore assembly of wind turbines.
2023 10 "The Multi-Hull Module" won the Silver in the 2023 Taiwan Innovation Technology Expo Invention Competition.
2023 10 "Purification equipment for biasing and controlling the flow path of cooling fluid" won the Silver in the 2023 Taiwan Innovation Technology Expo Invention Competition.
2023 10 "Intracranial Magnetic Stimulation (IMS) Stereotactic Coil Device and Equipment" won the Silver in the 2023 Taiwan Innovation Technology Expo Invention Competition.
2023 10 "Sensor device for pressure and temperature inside a mold" won the Silver in the 2023 Taiwan Innovation Technology Expo Invention Competition.
2023 10 "Graphene-modified carbon felt electrode and its preparation method, and liquid flow battery comprising the carbon felt electrode" won the Bronze in the 2023 Taiwan Innovation Technology Expo Invention Competition.
