2025 03 MIRDC was awarded a "reasonable assurance level" certificate after completing a GHG (ISO 14064-1) inventory verification conducted by CPC Corporation’s Green Energy Research Institute. A certification ceremony was held in March, marking a significant milestone in MIRDC’s commitment to net-zero carbon goals and environmental sustainability.
2025 03 On March 4, at JEC World—the world’s largest composites exhibition held in Paris—MIRDC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the French Technical Center for Mechanical Industry (Cetim), witnessed by Ambassador Francine Kao of the Taipei Representative Office in France. The collaboration aims to support the development of hydrogen production, storage, and distribution technologies by providing essential training and testing services, while also promoting innovation in thermoplastic composites and other future areas of cooperation.
2025 03 MIRDC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Japan’s JFE Engineering Corporation to jointly develop battery-swapping technology for electric eco-vehicles and supply related equipment and products to both Taiwanese and Japanese companies.
2025 02 MIRDC implemented the “F-16 Maintenance System Promotion and Expansion Project” in 2024 under the guidance of the Industrial Development Administration, MOEA. The project supported domestic companies in developing independent maintenance and manufacturing technologies for F-16 and other military aircraft, enhancing Taiwan’s defense self-sufficiency. It contributed approximately NT$2.81 billion in added value to the military and civil aviation sectors, facilitated NT$790 million in domestic investment by aviation companies, and helped generate 214 new job opportunities in response to growing aerospace orders.
2025 02 MIRDC signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with E.SUN Bank and Hong Yu Electric to jointly promote sustainable operations and support domestic industries in achieving their sustainability goals.
2025 02 MIRDC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Taiwan Generator Industry Association to strengthen workforce development and jointly promote talent cultivation in the generator industry.
2025 02 MIRDC’s Mechanical Testing Laboratory (Certification No. 0099) passed the TAF accreditation assessment for the addition of testing powered stair lifts for seated users on inclined surfaces.
2025 02 MIRDC’s Mechanical Testing Laboratory (Certification No. 0099) passed the TAF accreditation assessment for the addition of testing vertical lifting platforms for non-enclosed lifting areas.
2025 01 MIRDC signed a Letter of Intent for collaboration on the “Marine Conservation and ESG Sustainability Project” with the Ocean Conservation Administration, National Taiwan Ocean University, and the Wiwynn Foundation. The partnership aims to jointly promote habitat protection and ecological restoration through initiatives such as the “Artificial Coral Reef Project in Northern Taiwan,” as well as strengthen marine literacy and long-term sustainability through the “Marine Conservation Education Initiative.”
2025 01 Director Yang Po-Keng of the Industrial Parks Bureau was relieved of his position as MIRDC’s Supervisor due to retirement, effective January 16.
