MIRDC participated in the "F16 Aircraft Maintenance Center Promotion Project", assisting manufacturers in establishing independent maintenance capabilities and building a maintenance system, acquiring international aircraft system component maintenance cooperation opportunities through maintenance performance. The project integrated resources from the national defense technology industry and civilian industry, strengthening the domestic aerospace and defense supply chain system, and achieved excellent performance evaluation under the IDB outline plan. |

In 2022, MIRDC undertook the Angstrom Semiconductor Initiative commissioned by the Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA. MIRDC aided the IDB in formulating a semiconductor equipment development strategy, establishing a subsidy mechanism for the semiconductor equipment verification program, and facilitating collaboration between domestic equipment manufacturers and global benchmark semiconductor manufacturing giants. Furthermore, it assisted domestic manufacturers in entering foreign supply chains, realizing the goal of equipment "localization." The project performed excellently in the IDB's outline plan performance evaluation program. |

On March 28, the Acting President of MIRDC, Mr. Chi-Lung Lin, presented the business report for the year 2022 at the 15th board of directors and supervisors meeting of the 23rd term. With the collective effort of all staff, the operating revenue exceeded 3 billion NTD again and reached 3.45 billion NTD, of which the private revenue increased yearly to 1.07 billion NTD, accounting for 31% of the total revenue. It's shown that MIRDC's initiatives to promote relevant service businesses have yielded significant outcomes. In the future, MIRDC will continue to invest in key businesses such as innovative R&D, entrepreneurship, and environmental construction, in order to create stable growth momentum for the overall operation. |

In response to the Industrial Development Bureau’s promotion of net zero across industries, MIRDC partnered with Taiwan Industrial Fasteners Institute and Taiwan Institute of Economic Research to host the Seminar for Promoting Low Carbon Transformation in the Fastener Industry on February 7th. The event provided preliminary details for the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), its impact on the fastener industry, and discussed government resources that will be allocated in response. Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) Vice Minister Chuan-Neng Lin, Industrial Development Bureau Director General Ching-Chang Lien, Kaohsiung City Government Economic Development Bureau Director-general Tai-Hsiang Liao, Taiwan Industrial Fastener Institute Chairman Tu-Chin Tsai, China Steel Corporation (CPC) Chairman Chao-Tung Wong, MIRDC Chairman Jen-Yi Lin, central government representatives, and industry-academia departments joined more than 400 businesses in online and offline forums. Regarding the MOEA’s consolidation of carbon reduction resources, MIRDC provides a one-stop service platform to assist businesses in building capacity in carbon inventory and adopting carbon reduction technologies, enabling them to transition towards their low carbon transformation objectives. |
