Industry expands production of titanium artificial joint, MIRDC inks technology transfer with United Orthopedic Corp.

MIRDC and United Orthopedic Corp. formally ink technology transfer contract in Taipei. United Orthopedic Corp. entrusted MIRDC to conduct small batch production previously, yet MIRDC coordinates United Orthopedic Corp. to set up orthopedic device forging production line at Kaohsiung Science Park. This production line setup shows a winwin example that government is dedicated to promoting development of biotechnology industry, private manufacturers and Taiwan research institution jointly cooperate to set up core technologies, then research institution transfers matured technology to manufacturers and encourages manufacturers for investment and plant setup.
