“Good tools are prerequisite to the successful execution of a job”, Energy and Agile System Department of MIRDC encountered insufficient and selecting problem of system integration tool about ten years. Coincidentally National Instruments Taiwan proactively promoted its industrial control products. After testing industrial control products, MIRDC was heading for a long term cooperation with National Instruments(NI). Based on long-term tacit understanding, both parties wish to further cooperate to conduct a strategic alliance on March 3 at MIRDC headquarters. Mr. Chi-Chuan Huang, Chairman of MIRDC indicates since MIRDC cooperated with NI, MIRDC gradually develops from traditional automation on single machine to automation integration of diversified, complicated opto-mechatronic process. MIRDC has completed the first roll-to-roll mask aligner for FCB, double side mask aligner, photo conductor laser automatic measuring equipment, optical automatic measuring equipment of material thickness for MLCC passive components and various optical automatic inspection equipment for different applications. In the first half of 2010, MIRDC has completed the first wafer mask aligner in Taiwan, LED automatic mask aligner and high precision automatic adhesive machine for intelligent touch panel. These machines are very distinctive development cases. MIRDC contributes the outstanding result to NI (continuously develops industrial control product) and MIRDC’s accumulated system development and integrating capabilities. Michael Fu, president of MIRDC also said that MIRDC will continuously be in line with government technology R&D policy, be proactively dedicated to development of advanced technology and equipment that is equipped with industrial benefit, hoping to tremendously decrease the reliance on imported expensive equipment from advanced countries. In the future, MIRDC will keep close contact with NI. NI indicates that Taiwan industry experiences a rapid change for the last ten years and witnesses the evolving process with MIRDC. NI also wishes to thank MIRDC for continuously providing industrial services. After alliance, NI will be continuously engaged in developing control software & hardware as well as system integration. Additionally NI will closely combine with MIRDC’s demands on technical research and equipment development and expect to provide Taiwan industries with high efficient, better quality, wide integration, high stability industrial control products.
