MIRDC and United Orthopedic enter a technology transfer contract amidst expanded industrial investments in Ti-alloy artificial joints

On 13 Jan. 2010, MIRDC and United Orthopedic signed a technology transfer contract in Taipei, marking a shift from a low-volume, batch production commissioned to MIRDC to an expanded production on a dedicated forging line to be established by United Orthopedic with technology transfer from MIRDC, in Kaohsiung Science Park. This move exemplifies a win-win solution of which a private company and a research center work together to develop core technologies to be transferred for commercial production invested by the company.
