Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs, entrusted Metal Industries Research and Development Centre MIRDC to execute “Southern Taiwan Alliance of Researchers and Scholars” and hold an annual achievement exhibition at South Campus of National Science and Technology Museum from December 8 to 10, 2009. Exhibition include new products or new technologies developed by watch & clock, leather, paper container, safety helmet, food processing equipment, resource recycling and treatment, sanitaryware and surgical devices for veterinarian industries. Additionally scholars and manufacturers facilitate 36 cases of industrial and academic cooperation through assisted platform. During exhibition, food processing equipment manufacturer even demonstrated the process of vacuum packing rice and visitors can personally make fragrant leather. The exhibition is featured with abundant and interesting contents that totally change the stereotyped impression of traditional industry as sunset industry. Instead traditional industry demonstrates a creative image to lift general public’s faith on traditional industry.
