The literature on the value of metal products has stated that processing raw metal materials makes a profit of 5 to 20 percent, whose value is determined by its weight. Key factors of increasing its added-value are scientific technology, composite application, creative and artistic design, etc. In modern industries, high added value can be created in application to
electrical control, electromagnetism, thermal current, sound wave,corrosion-resistance, light-weighted products, and so on. MIRDC is devoted to the research of increasing metal added-value technology, and to the integral development of metal industry including products design, material application, processing
research, equipment development. In response to the research strategy of Ministry of Economic Affairs, MIRDC had formed four R&D alliances based on material composite application and processing equipment systems –Value-added Metal Clad, Value-added Metal/Polymer Clad”, High Precision Leveling System, Special Environment Hydraulic Loading System – which will increase the added-value to metal products.
