Responding to the “Dawning Green Energy Industry Program” initiated by Executive Yuan Ministry of Economic Affairs this year (2009), MIRDC assisted Wu Jii Industry Company in vertical integration allying with solar optoelectronic plant (Compound Solar Technology Co., Ltd), molding factory (SunGee Precision Machinery Co., Ltd), metal finishing company (Nan Shun Advance Technology Co., Ltd), and injection molding factory (Gizmo International Co., Ltd) to form “Solar Microgrooves Mould Research Alliance”. All gathered to sign an alliance contract in MIRDC conference hall on 26th May 2009.
The main purpose of this alliance is to develop the core skills needed for solar microgrooves moulds. The core skills include 3 parts: material techniques development, improvement on product design and production improvement, and industrial liaison research. It is planned to develop manufacturing techniques of precise optoelectronics components of concentrator photovoltaic optoelectronics modules so as to deepen the roots of solar energy industry techniques in Taiwan and to add high value to traditional mechanical industry.
