Micro blanking/ drawing forming technology

High integration and compact size are the trend for 3C products, while miniaturization of the related components is the prerequisite to achieve product in compact size. Most mechanical parts of electronic equipment, such as 3C products, are manufactured by press stamping which requires high micro-feature and high precision. The research of micro-stamping technology in Taiwan is still in the introduction stage, therefore most of the metallic micro parts relies on importation.
The vehicle developed in the study is a blanking/drawing precision die required in the production of mini-bearing retainer as retainer is complicated and miniature shape so that the existing progressive die and transfer die are no longer applicable. Accordingly the research designs a movable bottom die to transfer work piece and complete two forming stages.
To increase the competitiveness of the 3C industries, the technology of micro stamping is thus developed in Taiwan. With the technologies of blanking/drawing precision die, MIRDC is capable of rapidly and stably producing high quality component at lowest cost and time.
