The goal of MIRDC

Is to promote the development and upgrading of metals and related industries in the country.

To achieve this goal

The Centre carries out research and development and provides an array of services for technology transfer to the industrial community.

Laboratory for the Analysis of Rapid Failure Mode Verification and Accreditation

Domestic industries usually take the final products to perform the reliability warranty test which can not in time locate and improve the design problems during the design stage. This will inevitably reduce the competitiveness of the development of the products for the local industries. United States and Japan apply the lean production to shorten R&D process of products and increase the market share. As a result, this project aims to establish the common laboratory for the design and development of the products, facilitate domestic industries transform from OEM to ODM or OBM and upgrade the level of the advanced countries. Additionally domestic industries could throw off competition of low cost, increase the exportation and enter the international market.
The six-axis vibration system is mainly applied for the accreditation of the design of the products during R&D period and feedback the results for the improvement of the design of the products. This system can effectively reduce the cost for R&D, shorten the R&D time and precisely define the warranty period. The major application areas of this system include the transportation components, 3C industries, automotive electronics, etc. The related performances of this inspection system are as follows: displacement: within 50 mm, vibration frequency: up to 2200 Hz, vibration acceleration: up to 35G and the temperature ranges from -80 to +150 ℃.
