MIRDC (Metal Industries Research & Development Centre) combines R&D resources and energies of academic sector and invites the interested manufacturers to join the community through the operations of the professional technology sub-communities with focus on specific technology fields or subject to form the creative ideas and facilitate the establishment of R&D alliances by the participation and interaction of members. Industrial upgrading and transformation are thus promoted. At current stage, we promote four professional technology sub-communities, including special alloy, micro/meso mechanical forming, medical equipment, micro/meso equipment/manufacturing process, the member manufacturers come to 140. The professional community for innovative consultation and matching mechanism is established. Though leverage of professional community activities (such as technical symposiums, summit forums, etc.), we hopefully demonstrate a guiding effect to the industrial transformation of manufactures.
