The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 has impacted the global situation. As we are now on our way to post-pandemic recovery, how the industries seize new opportunities to secure the quality of products and services and further prepare for the future that has become an issue for all sectors. Despite sophisticated technologies and competitive product quality and pricing, Taiwan’s mold and die industry is facing the accelerating technological transformation. Helping manufacturers embrace smart manufacturing has thus become a huge challenge.
Commissioned by the Industrial Development Bureau, MIRDC set up the Smart Stamping Demonstration Production Line at the end of 2019. This production line displayed domestically made equipment only, including 400-ton servo presses, automated robot arms, 3D scanning devices, etc. At the same time, the establishment of cloud production information platform, smart virtual die-trial and die development database, online die monitoring and other smart manufacturing systems in efforts to facilitate industrial upgrading and transformation by means of optimal solutions, innovative services and operation models.
To increase the effectiveness of the production line, MIRDC and SEYI jointly organize the Seminar on Servo Presses and Smart Manufacturing Applications and Technologies, which took place on July 30, 2020 (Thursday) from 13:30 to 16:15 at the Innovation Value-added Center of Traditional Industry, MOEA. Dr. Gui-Zhang Hsu from SEYI and Dr. Pin-Chun Chen from MIRDC will elaborate on the advantages and applications of servo presses and the development of smart manufacturing technologies for stamping production lines, respectively. Afterwards, attending guests were led by designated personnel to the Smart Stamping Demonstration Production Line, at which they would see the process of stamping high tensile steel beams using a servo press and the demonstration of automatic peripheral and smart manufacturing systems. These state-of-the-art technologies will become trends in future industries and are therefore worth attention.
This seminar covers many aspects of such technologies, and it would be a pity to miss this opportunity. Registration is open now. Please contact Mr. Hsu at (07)3513121#3519 for registration. Due to limited seats, walk-in registration would not be accepted on the day. We sincerely welcome everyone in the industry to seize this opportunity and sign up for the event.
