Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau, MOST, and TAPO, together with MIRDC (Metal Industries Research & Development Centre), jointly held the Southern Science Taiwan Park MIT Training Center and Manufacturer Exchange and Matchmaking Conference at the College of Public Health, National Taiwan University, on August 11, 2019. This time, eight major dental colleges in Taiwan were invited to gather, including National Taiwan University, Taipei Medical University, National Yang-Ming University, National Defense Medical Center, Chung Shan Medical University, China Medical University, National Cheng Kung University, and Kaohsiung Medical University to jointly support domestic medical devices and exchange and matchmaking with domestic medical devices manufacturers. The hope is that the promotion of national products through the establishment of a teaching center that links global medical research institutions will generate awareness for quality medical products made in Taiwan by getting them in front of dental students and clinicians, thereby establishing trust in domestic medical products and increasing the opportunities for turn-key and case transfers overseas to support Taiwan's medical devices.
Southern Taiwan Science Park MIT medical devices products have gradually emerged on the international market under Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau's many years of persistent promotion. The MIRDC has crossed-over into the medical device market for more than ten years, not only presenting the technical capability of Taiwan's medical device industry, but also hoping to push Taiwan's medical devices industry to the international level. Now, through the training and deep ploughing, and domestic production for local consumption model, products are brought thorough into the eight major dental universities in Taiwan and their sister universities, and interactions and exchanges between domestic and foreign dentists as well as holding workshops, increases confidence in the use of MIT products. In the future, the entire clinic system can be transferred to provide a complete set of products required by dentists and promoted through training to attract purchases from all over the world.
This event arranged for the five major medical universities in Taiwan (National Taiwan University, Taipei Medical University, National Yang-Ming University, Chung Shan Medical University, and Kaohsiung Medical University) responsible for implementing the South Taiwan Smart Medical Industrial Clusters Promotion Plan to introduce the characteristics of each teaching center and how to cooperate with international schools and research institutes. Manufacturers who are interested in joining the teaching center were invited to participate in one-on-one matchmaking meetings. The products of Southern Taiwan Science Park's medical device manufacturers will be fully displayed on-site to increase the exposure and utilization rate of domestic medical devices products. The honorable guests from industry, official, academic, research and medical sectors are welcome to come and offer guidance!
