To change young students’ stereotype of traditional manufacturing industry, the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration (SMEA), the Ministry of Economic Affairs (SMOA), National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST), Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) and China Productivity Center (CPC) jointly invited AccuAR Digital Co., Ltd., Willpower Co., Ltd., and Acusense Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. to hold a school seminar on the effectiveness of applying AR/IOT technology in the manufacturing industry at NKUST on October 9. Nearly 250 lecturers and students participated in this seminar, and their responses were enthusiastic. This activity promoted the communication between enterprises and students, so that the students could better understand the current development of technology, and may become indispensable talents of the manufacturing industry in the future.
Except this activity, the SMEA, MIRDC and CPC will also hold the “Manufacture of the New Generations - Enterprise Tours and Campus Lectures”. The enterprise will hold the campus lectures all around Taiwan from mid-October to November. Enterprises will be invited to open their factories for students to visit, so that the new era of industrial manufacturing can be promoted: manufacturing is no longer rigid, but closer to public life; processing is not only manual work and the stereotype of processing can be broken. Also, the disadvantages in the past can be improved by using new processing technology or intelligent approaches. More young students will be encouraged to join the manufacturing-related industries.
