The strengths of each medical teaching and training center will be brought together to implement the interaction of the connection between local, the world, and the future as the three main axes. Taking the link to local zones for instance is about to localize Taiwan's cutting-edge MIT medical device products. Inviting excellent teachers from sister schools abroad (such as University of Pennsylvania, Mahidol, and Gadjah Mada University) to become a leading dental teaching and training center in Southeast Asia to bring together outstanding medical technologies from Taiwan or abroad in response to the government's new southbound policy, which is the idea of linking to the world. Linking the future promotes the overall output of various medical products and medical service quality in Taiwan in order create a win-win-win situation for hospitals, parks and manufacturers, and effectively increases product reliability and expands business opportunities for MIT dental products.

Mr. Shih-Chung Chen, Minister of Health and Welfare stated that in the past, Taiwan was mostly an importer of medical devices. With the development of domestic medical device manufacturers, it has gradually begun to transform into a medical device exporting country. As Taiwan's medical technology is world-famous, in the future, we will continually encourage national hospitals to use domestically produced medical products. Not only we can increase the performance of the manufacturers, but also help the manufacturers to arrange the Southeast Asian market in response to the cooperation between the one medical center for one country policy and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Mr. Dar-Bin Shieh, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology also stated that Ministry of Science and Technology has always cared the industrial development of medical device. Taiwan has accumulated a strong industrial base for decades, combined with progressive medical services, enabling us to take a different path in medical devices. Through the establishment of major teaching and training centers, the performance of manufacturers will be increased and with the guidance of dentists and the use of international teaching and training methods, it will effectively assist in bringing national products to the international market.

Dr. Chih-Lung Lin, vice president of MIRDC thought that the event provided an extraordinary opportunity for the marketing and promotion of domestic medical devices, especially the first international clinical teaching and training center, allowing dentists to experience in building trust in domestic products, and also promote the trust of other public hospitals for domestic medical devices. In the positive efforts of Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau, most of the products have entered the hospital procurement list, and have begun to purchase and use. It is expected that the number of purchases will continue to increase in the future, which will definitely drive the production value to double of the park, and launch Taiwan medical device industry into the world stage.
