2018 MEDICA was held from November 12 through 15 at Dusseldorf, Germany. The Metal Industries Research and Development Centre (MIRDC) led domestic medical device makers into the exhibition as the Taiwan pavilion, in the meantime organized a Taiwan-German medical device matching to demonstrate how far the industry has advanced in Taiwan. The Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA has entrusted the MIRDC to proactively integrate Taiwan medical device makers to expand into the overseas market. The performance has been growing over the years and the results have been recognized by the makers. Under concerted effort from government and medical device makers, the medical device industry has increased its visibility at the recent major medical fairs. Additionally MIRDC has successfully organized a medical industry marketing alliance to have made many presentations with the latest technology, such as the 2018 Singapore International Dental Exhibition and Meeting (IDEM 2018) fair, 2018 Medicall Chennai etc.
Using the theme “Bridging Taiwan Biomedical Solution to the Globe”, MIRDC and Taiwanese medical device makers jointly participate in 2018 MEDICA.
