In order to assist the application of smart medical devices on clinical promotion and implement “Niche Biomedical Industry Counseling and Internalization Program”, Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA held “Smart Surgery-Clinical Practice Workshop” in Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital on Oct. 27th, 2018 (Sat.) from 13:30 to 16:30. Yao-Jen Kuo, Director of Department of Surgery, KMUH was invited to participate in the event, along with four domestic companies, including Dermato Plastica Beauty Co., Ltd., Arco Biomedical Co., Ltd., Yueh Sheng Electronic Industrial Co., Ltd. as well as Life & Health Medical Inc. gathered together to have an advancement workshop on medical devices and technologies.

The workshop integrated the latest medical technologies and device development, also responded to the world trend as well as demands from the market. In the event, Smart Knob Multi-Guided Adjustable Micro-Autogenous Fat Transplantation System, Application of Collagen Wound Dressing, Smart Detecting Body Impedance Electrosurgical Unit, and Digital Anesthesia Cannula AI System were the four primary focuses. Through the interaction and exchange in the event, diverse and smart medical devices as well as relevant research services were provided to domestic hospitals. At the same time, one-stop resolution can effectively boost the field matching and expansion. It is anticipated that the application of systematic education and direct service contents can increase the global visibility of domestic medical device products.
