The MIRDC has established the Excellence and Elite Award in recognition of outstanding teams and individuals in the technology, product, industry, and service fields. The establishment of Elite Award not only demonstrates MIRDC’s excellent capabilities, but also creates an exchange platform for technology development, industry service, and administrative management experience. The Excellence Award is the center’s highest honor, and the award recognizes outstanding employees who have contributed to the center’s management, business promotion, and R&D. This is also an opportunity to motivate the winners of the award and drive them toward further excellence.
The excellence award establishes a benchmark for learning and motivates development and service enthusiasm. Furthermore, the award recognizes MIRDC professionals who work hard as unsung heroes to promote each industry. These award winners have contributed to the formation of the dental and orthopedic industry clusters in the Southern Taiwan Science Park, which in turn has driven developments in dental implant technology and introduced the establishment of medical devices makers. Award winners have also contributed to the introduction of aerospace technology in product production, allowed a domestic company to become the third largest rim maker in the world, assisted the bicycle industry, and created new opportunities for the Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center. MIRDC organizes the Elite Award to encourage the innovative spirit of colleagues. The center has also demonstrated its outstanding development capability in a variety of ways, including: giving cancer patients hope with percutaneous magnetic thermal ablation system (which can treat liver, kidney, intervertebral disk, thyroid, and prostate cancer), improving internal administrative efficiency, optimizing work environment, and producing innovative breakthrough in internal management/knowledge management/service model.
Dr. Mi-ching Tsai, chairman of MIRDC stated that MIRDC’s recent outstanding operations have also been recognized both domestically and internationally. In 2015, MIRDC won the outstanding institution award from the Chinese Institute of Engineers and the National Industry Innovation Award – Local Industry Innovation Model Award. In addition, the center has won the Japanese Good Design Award with the dental implant guide plate and the German Red Dot design award with the MEER thermo bottle. These awards show that the center’s development capability and industrialization performance has been recognized.
MIRDC is dedicated to development and innovation, and continuously serves as a bridge between the government and industries. The center is also effectively converting government development resources into applied results that can improve industry value. This has allowed development technology to take root and lead innovation in Taiwan industries.
