On May 10, 2016, MIRDC promoted the “Alliance for the Rapid Development of Key Intelligent/Energy Conserving Kitchen and Sanitary Product” cooperation agreement between Dyna Rechi, Himag Magnetic Corporation, Jyethelih International and Weltrend. On the day of the event, MIRDC’s Vice President Lin, Chih-Lung and Director Huang, Wen-Ku of the Export Processing Zone Administration were jointly to witness the signing. These four companies will focus on speeding up product development and improving intelligent energy efficiency in order to increase Taiwan’s market share in the international kitchen/sanitary product industry and build alliances based on market-oriented needs.
In response to international manufacturing industry’s trend towards fast product development speed and environmental friendliness, and with the support of the Export Processing Zone Administration, MIRDC implemented the 2015 Industry Park Innovation Integration and Rising Project. This project integrated motor related manufacturing companies in the Pingtung Export Processing Zone into a comprehensive supply chain for the China Steel Corp. The project not only linked upstream and downstream industries and improved system design/development efficiency, but also combined the capabilities of the industry and the industry’s advanced technology to create complementary technologies and market opportunities. This project became a classic example of how Taiwan can conduct industry park upgrading and transformation in the future. A conference named “Kaohsiung/Pingtung Industry and Academia Talent Cultivation and Exchange” which organized by MIRDC is taken place at the same day in the Nantze Export Processing Zone to strengthen human resource basis for industrial sustainable development.
For the last decade, MIRDC has used its professional metal processing, design, and analysis technology to continuously promote key technology development alliances for electromagnetic steel products, pump motors, vehicle motors, and slice motors. The objective is to shorten the design cycle for different application products, improve quality reliability, and reduce development costs. These objectives promoted the establishment of the Taiwan Motor Industry Association. In addition, the long-term support and investment by the Electric Motor Technology Research Center of National Cheng Kung University and China Steel Corp. also gained consensus and confidence of the Taiwan motor industry. Material, equipment, technology and application industries gradually formed into motor industry clusters and further advanced Taiwan’s position as a key part of the global production/manufacturing supply chain, as well as improved the international competitiveness of the entire industry.
