MIRDC Collaboration with ENISE in Additive Manufacturing Related Fields

On May 18th, 2015 the École nationale d'ingénieurs de Saint-Etienne (ENISE) signed a memorandum of understanding with MIRDC for co-establishing a laboratory to study metal powder used in additive manufacturing and its application. In addition, ENISE research staff/students and MIRDC research personnel will conduct relevant research in medical optoelectronics and micro-fabrication fields, will be engaged in mutual exchange, and expand international cooperation.
ENISE is one of the five national engineering schools in France and has long been involved in the cultivation of mechanical, civil, industrial system, and sensor engineering personnel. With the signing of this memorandum of understanding, both parties are expected to conduct close cooperation. ENISE possesses additive manufacturing equipment and production knowhow while MIRDC is specialized in metal powder materials and research in related fields. Mutual cooperation will increase synergy in the development and application of special metal powders. The co-establishment of a laboratory will combine expertise and equipment of both parties, which is expected to increase mutual resource sharing, promote good international academia-industry cooperation, and drive participation of Taiwanese and French makers in related industries. This will achieve cross-national industry-academia cooperation and realize industry technology development.
