On Jun 16th the MIRDC hosted “2014 Elite Talent Award Ceremony”. Twenty-one groups and individuals were given awards in the categories of technology, product, industry, service, and administration. This event not only exhibits MIRDC’s outstanding capabilities, but also enables these innovative models and success stories to be passed on.
　　Mr. Huang, Chi-Chuan, chairman of MIRDC, expressed that while the “elite” represents the image of the MIRDC, talented individuals determine the future of MIRDC development. The achievements of MIRDC in recent years have gained recognition from the industry. In 205, MIRDC once again received the Outstanding Organization Award and the Best Performing Industry-Academic Cooperation Organization Award from the Chinese Institute of Engineers, as well as the Innovative Local Industry award in the fourth National Industrial Innovation Award. This shows that the MIRDC’s R&D prowess and industry promotion performance have been recognized by the industry, the academia, and the government. Furthermore, MIRDC had achieved great results in the technical development and industry assistance service in 2014. For example, the technical standard of the first domestic product that can reduce magnesium alloy bone screw degradation reached international standards. MIRDC also helped makers improve their ability to prepare for mass production of liposome injections, which made their automatic production equipment the best in the world. MIRDC also fulfilled its corporate social responsibilities by applying its research capabilities and testing technology to assist the Kaohsiung and New Taipei City governments in identifying causes for gas explosions. In addition, improvements in the internal administration efficiency, overall image, and breakthroughs in marketing communications of MIRDC are the results of all the efforts from the colleagues. Their collective ideas are the accumulated energy that enables MIRDC to contribute to the industry and quality improvement.
