MIRDC led Taiwan medical devices vendors to participate in the 2015 (21st) Medical Fair India, which was held on March 21 – 24 in New Delhi, India, and showcased at the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion. In addition to demonstrating the capabilities of Taiwan medical devices technology, this exhibition also improved overall marketing benefits and promoted business partnerships between Taiwan vendors and the Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AIMED), which will help Taiwan vendors in the entry of the Indian market.

In recent years, MIRDC has actively integrated Taiwan makers to join exhibits in an annual growth, and gained the recognition of makers. MIRDC Deputy Director Su, Zi-Ke stated that, with the help of the government and the efforts of makers, Taiwan medical devices industry has frequently appeared in various international exhibits recently. MIRDC has also successfully organized and promoted marketing alliance for the medical care industry to explore international markets together.

Furthermore, MIRDC integrated Taiwan makers as the Medical Equipment and Technology Industry Strategic Alliance to expand the scale of exhibits. This effort improved exhibition benefits and showed that Taiwan is actively exploring international medical equipment markets. Nine Taiwan vendors participated in this year’s exhibit, including BenQ Medical Technologies, Apex, VADI Medical Technology, adroVision Endoscope, AVITA, SyncVision, Yueh Sheng Electronic Industrial, Medical Master, and Fu Shun Hsing. These vendors cover the fields of surgical equipment, electrocautery, medical furniture, trauma management, respiratory therapy, endoscopes, sphygmomanometers, thermometers and other medical equipment fields.

Mr. Su, Zi-Ke indicated that MIRDC has been in the medical devices market for eight years. Not only has MIRDC assisted Taiwan traditional industries toward producing high value products by using developments in metal materials and manufacturing, it has also established industry devices and explored international business opportunities and marketing to increase industry competitiveness. MIRDC is confident and has the ability to lead medical devices clusters and peripheral industries toward the global market, and expect to increase the value of Taiwan medical devices industry.

Medical Fair India 2015 is one of the most famous medical exhibitions in South and Central Asia, and is alternatively held in New Delhi or Mumbai each year. This year the fair was held in New Delhi and focused on medical devices and technology, thus it is the best jumping board for entering the South Asia market.
