For years MIRDC has continued to expand its service fields in metal manufacturing and material technology basis. This year MIRDC is hosting the Theme Pavilion to participate in the 2015 Kaohsiung Industrial Automation Exhibition. The opening of the Theme Pavilion is on the 17th at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. On the day of the opening Deputy Director Shen, Rong-Jin visited the site and examined the “happiness vending machine” made by a famous Kaohsiung food industry operator with assistance from MIRDC. This machine used multi-segment robotic arm, intelligent multi-media, and human-machine interface operation design to allow consumers to purchase, package, and pay for a dessert. This demonstrates MIRDC’s prowess in automated module and equipment development.

MIRDC combined its 2014 Transferable Technology Presentation with this year’s exhibition to specifically present 34 technology advancements based on the theme of “innovative industry, advanced manufacturing”. Development results in the fields of vehicles, medical device, metals, micro manufacturing, equipment, and food are covered in the presentation. In addition to providing vendors with an exchange platform, MIRDC also helps operators understand technology application and patent authorization. MIRDC has also demonstrated numerous equipment development results at the exhibit such as precision air static motion platform, ultrasonic vibration assisted machining blade, composite processing equipment, high-purity copper vacuum casting technology, medical Nitinol material, magnetic sensitive thermal ablation needle, and optical inspection equipment. MIRDC also clarified the industrialization of development results, authorized use, and cooperation methods.
