MIRDC is proactively promoting cooperation between Taiwan and India , and has already brought Taiwan die casting equipment vendor, Technology Base Corporation (TBC), together with well-known India die casting company, Best Marketing Company. On February 5th, these two companies signed a MOU under the witness of the Kaohsiung City Economic Development Bureau and the MIRDC. In the future, TBC can expect to use India’s BMC to introduce newly developed die casting equipment into the Indian market. The cooperation between these two parties is expected to bring in an estimated US$ 1 million (approximately NT$ 31.7 million).
MIRDC has long promoted the transition and upgrade of traditional industries. Previously (2014), MIRDC assisted TBC with research proposals, which obtained relevant government R&D subsidies. At the same time, MIRDC assisted TBC in the development and production of smart power conserving die cast equipment and the establishment of mass production technology.
TBC stated that it will continue to cooperate with MIRDC in proposing government R&D subsidy projects, which will increase the value of die casting equipment and promote smart power conservation. Furthermore, TBC will expand cooperation with international channel vendors. With the successful opening of the Indian market, TBC will set its roots in Kaohsiung, expand investment, and move into the international market in the future.
India is one of the BRIC countries, and in recent years its economy has grown rapidly. It has become an important market that other countries are actively entering. BMC is one of India’s professional channel vendors and has been in the India’s die casting market for many years. Thus, BMC has an in-depth knowledge of the Indian die casting equipment market. This bilateral cooperation orchestrated by MIRDC will create a new boom for Taiwan industries.
