R&D Alliance for Laser Micro-production Equipment Industry formed to leverage technological innovation for industry value-adding

An R&D Alliance for Laser Micro-fabrication Equipment Industry was launched at the 2014 International Forum on Micro-fabrication Technology in Taiwan, hosted by MIRDC on 18 November, 2014, under the witness of representatives from Kaohsiung City Government and MIRDC and experts from Japan. This alliance comprises three Taiwan companies, i.e. E&R Engineering, Chien Wei Precise Technology, and E-SUN Precision, to advance research and development of laser micro-fabrication. This event also brought together experts from the industry and the research community from Taiwan and Japan to present micro-processing applications in feature reports and fora for technology discussion and knowledge exchange. Concurrently outside the meeting hall was an exhibition on newly emerging micro-fabrication applications under a project sponsored by MOEA Industrial Development Bureau to help chart the course of Taiwan’s micro-fabrication industry.
