To implement the domestic industry toward robotic automation, green energy machinery, and intelligent factory, the Automation Technology International Forum was held by the Industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economic Affairs, and executed by MIRDC at the TWTC Nangang, and came to an end on August 27th, 2014. The forum was focused on automation technology under green manufacturing, and had invited internationally renowned manufacturers to share the views of industry trends, technological developments, and experiences of sustainable management.
Industrial Development Bureau said that as early as in 2010, the government established the intelligent automation industry as one of the national development priorities in order to promote industrial automation applications and development, and added in the green industry development as priority in 2011. The government expects to seek a balance between economic growth and sustainable development by applying automation technologies to resolve the dilemma of insufficient energy and to optimize manufacturing mode. The government also expects to gradually increase domestic intelligent automation equipment and key components production rate, strengthen the service capabilities of the automation equipment manufacturers, and enhance the integration value-added automation systems and equipment by promoting intelligent automation policies actively.
One of speakers included Mr. Mikael K Svensson, the Vice President of ABB, the leader of global power and automation technology, to share the sustainable competitiveness point of views created by the robotics and automation technology. In addition, the global leader in power management Delta Electronics shared the experiences in the development of intelligent energy saving from the innovated energy saving point of views. Also, Industrial Economics and Knowledge Center of ITRI analyzed the trends in green manufacturing automation applications from the intelligent factory angle.
The automation technology and green manufacturing with flexibility, energy efficiency and waste reduction is the crucial part of contemporary industrial development. Manufacturing industry today is facing accelerating technological innovation, higher performance parts replacement as well as rapid changes in customer demand. Thru the exchange of knowledge in this seminar, we expect to bring more inspiration to the domestic industry.
