To further promote Taiwan motor industry, MIRDC has launched a new demo-production line early this year. Serving as a platform for motor performance test and certification, this demo-production line is highly valued by enterprises to assist them to meet mass-production requirement.

The reduction of product development plays a key role of helping motor industry to decrease production cost and increase its competiveness. “the demo line is based on Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) concept” said Mr. Huang, director of Micro/Meso Mechanical Manufacturing Department. DFMA aims at mass-production.” Motor-related companies or labs can find such services as mass-production simulation analysis, prototype and performance test. MIRDC expects the demo-production line to be a test-run center for motor mass-production.

In motor technologies development, MIRDC has won several international recognitions from iNEA Nuremberg for slice motor and micro motor devices, applicable for dental devices, automotive motor, and so on. Micro gear manufacturing technology of micro motors is another niche of MIRDC. In the future, MIRDC will integrate the local manufacturers to establish various industrial R&D alliances to upgrade the capabilities for Taiwan motor industry.
