Along with the rise of the BRICS countries in recent years, the newly emerging market in South America, led by Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Chile, has registered rapid growth. To expand the international market for the dental and medical devices sector, MIRDC led a delegation of Taiwan manufacturers to attend the HOSPITALAR 2012 in St. Paulo, Brazil, the biggest medical device exhibition in South America, and had successfully made an entry into the Brazilian market by signing an MOU with a Brazilian partner. Taiwan's participation in this trade show aims to showcase R&D strengths of Taiwan companies and to boost their trade volume at the international market. Most significantly, on May 23, MIRDC signed an MOU with a Brazilian hospital SINO-BRASILEIRO to explore the local market for high-quality products and technologies from Taiwan, using SINO-BRASILEIRO as the marketing channel.
