MIRDC proposes government to invest NTD2.6 billion in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park for a designated R&D Zone for Medical Devices of Minimal Invasive Surgery, with 10 companies already expressing interests in this project with a projected production value of over NTD10 billion.

On July 11, MIRDC proposed that the government invest NTD2.6 billion in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park to establish a 5-hectare R&D Zone for Medical Devices of Minimal Invasive Surgery. This proposal features renting the required land and building a R&D and incubation center with standard factory facilities to attract medical device companies into this zone that aims to become the Asian Silicon Valley for medical devices of minimal invasive survey.
