Industrial Development Bureau launched project that facilitates employment of vocational high school talents as an innovative approach to addressing skilled labor shortage.

MOEA Industrial Development Bureau launched a pilot project jointly with Ministry of Education and CoLA Bureau of Employment and Vocational Training to offer non-binding scholarships to vocational junior-high school graduates, with the aim to alleviating the dual shortage of entry-level labor and skilled labor in the mechanical industries in central and southern Taiwan. Undertaken by MIRDC, this project that features "cultivating talents and lighting up the career path for vocational high school students" has so far successfully matched 7 companies with 55 students from 10 schools.
