History

Year Month Subject
2024 05 MIRDC signed an MOU with Nidec, the world's leading integrated motor design and manufacturing company. This collaboration will initially focus on industrial energy-saving motor-related equipment and then expand into other industrial motor applications.
2024 05 MIRDC signed an MOU with Ultra Care Facial Aesthetics & Dental Studio in Myanmar to facilitate exchange and collaboration in the dental field with healthcare institutions across New Southbound countries.
2024 05 MIRDC became Taiwan’s first legal entity to be certified as a "Carbon Footprint Verification" body by the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF). This accreditation enables MIRDC to offer comprehensive carbon footprint verification services, including product assessments, helping businesses identify carbon emission hotspots and develop effective carbon reduction strategies. The services adhere to international standards such as ISO 14064-1 for greenhouse gases and ISO 14067 for carbon footprints, ensuring compliance with both international and domestic environmental regulations.
2024 04 MIRDC's Mechanical Testing Laboratory (Certification No. 0099) obtained TAF accreditation for the addition of dynamic fatigue strength testing for hooks.
2024 04 MIRDC's "Stainless Steel Corrosion-Resistant and Surface Hardening System" technology was awarded the Silver Edison Award in the United States.
2024 04 The "Micro Complex Coating System Technology" is the world's first technology applied to the micro complex fuel pipelines in satellite propulsion systems. It was awarded the Bronze Edison Award in the United States.
2024 04 MIRDC’s “Intelligent Electrode 3D Variable Curvature Electrochemical Processing System” technology was awarded the Bronze Edison Award in the United States.
2024 04 MIRDC’s IVC team participated in a short film produced by the Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs, titled "When Longing Flies Over the Ocean," which won the Silver Award in the Social Group category at the 4th Yamato Awards.
2024 04 MIRDC signed an MOU with Noether Sciences and Technologies Inc. (USA) to facilitate technical exchanges on the rTMS system. The agreement includes sharing experiences in the development and operation of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation devices, such as EMBP pulse technology, peripheral therapeutic equipment, and pulse protocol technologies, to enhance the efficiency of product development.
2024 04 MIRDC's elites of 2023 have been announced. The "Women in Technology Award" was granted to a colleague from the Service Innovation and Development Department, who led the Greenhouse Gas Team in establishing a verification body that successfully obtained TAF certification. This team further surpassed industry barriers by obtaining accreditation from the Ministry of Environment and the Financial Supervisory Commission, positioning themselves as leaders in the Bureau of Standards' verification capacity group. The Intelligence and System R&D Service Department conducted over 40 field inspections (including testing, verification, and risk assessments) for energy storage systems, contributing to the stabilization of green energy and power management. They also developed Taiwan's first closed-blade electrochemical processing equipment, the "Intelligent Electrode 3D Variable Curvature Electrochemical Processing System," and were awarded both the "Industrial Service Elite Award" and the "Team Award." Meanwhile, the Metal Processing R&D Department developed Taiwan's first 3D curved surface welding technology, the "4D (3D+Dissmilar) Printed of Solid State Process," which also earned them the "Team Award."
