2005 12 To respond the demand on R&D of new metal technology from industry, MIRDC integrates the Nantze campus of ITRI and names the original MIRDC campus as “Pioneering Campus” and new campus as “Foresight Campus” to hold the combination ceremony of two campuses at MIRDC Kaohsiung Headquarters on December 21.
2005 11 Taiwan Supercritical Fluid Association, the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Taiwan University, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and MIRDC hosted Super Green 2005 Conference at GIS Convention Center, National Taiwan University on November 20 & 23 to announce 118 copies of thesis with 101 participants from Austria, Mainland China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Russia, Taiwan, United Kingdom and America.
2005 11 Taiwan Automotive Research Consortium (TARC) (Mechanical Industry Research Laboratories of ITRI (MIRL/ITRI), Automotive Research & Testing Center (ARTC), Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (CSIST) and MIRDC) hosted the first Taiwan Automotive International Forum & Exhibition (TAIFE-2005) at Taipei International Convention Center on November 17 & 19 to invite Mr. Yasuaki Hashimoto, vice president of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Mr. Motonobu Takemoto, president of Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. as keynote speakers as well as the four largest global auto parts suppliers to join the forum. 500 international & domestic experts participated in TAIFE-2005. The forum facilitated Magna International Corp. to plan the setup of R&D center in Taiwan.
2005 10 MIRDC and Taiwan Forging Association hosted the 9th Asian Symposium on Precision Forging at Splendor Hotel on October 2 & 5 to announce 51 copies of thesis with 119 participants of Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Mainland China and Indonesia.
2005 05 MIRDC, Mechanical Industry Research Laboratories of Industrial Technology Research Institute (MIRL/ITRI), Chemical Systems Research Division of Chung-Shan Institute of Science & Technology (CSIST) and Automotive Research & Testing Center (ARTC) jointly set up Taiwan Automotive Research Consortium (TARC), supported by Department of Industrial Technology, MOEA to facilitate international exchange and cooperation for Taiwan automotive industry.
2005 01 MIRDC and College of Engineering, Feng Chia University hosted the 4th Asia-Pacific Forum on Precision Surface Finishing and Deburring Technology at Feng Chia University to serve as venue for discussion and problem solving of deburring technology.
2004 11 MIRDC has received “National Standardization Award” by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) to recognize its excellent performance of standards stipulation and implementation.
2004 06 MIRDC assists the establishment of Taiwan Super Critical Fluid Association in order to promote the development of Super Critical Fluid (SCCO2) technology.
2003 09 To meet international requirements for EMC inspection in the certification of products, the Laboratory of EMC Inspection and Electrical Appliances Safety in Taichung has acquired the CNLA (Chinese National Laboratory Accreditation) and BSMI accreditation.
2003 09 “The metal processing technology of key components/Parts-II” project has been honored by Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) of Ministry of Economic Affairs as one of the excellent Technology Development Programs of the year.
