2024 09 MIRDC’s Wind Turbine Testing Laboratory (Certification No. 3379) obtained TAF accreditation for non-destructive testing (magnetic particle and liquid penetration).
2024 09 MIRDC’s Mechanical Testing Laboratory (Certification No. 0099) completed TAF certification for "Dynamic Stair Lifts for Inclined Surfaces."
2024 09 MIRDC’s Mechanical Testing Laboratory (Certification No. 0099) completed TAF certification for "Vertical Lift Platforms for Open Lift Shafts."
2024 08 MIRDC signed an MOU with Powertech Labs Inc., Canada's leading hydrogen storage and transportation technology company. This partnership aims to enhance hydrogen safety testing in Taiwan and foster the development of a domestic hydrogen supply chain.
2024 08 On August 20, 2024, MIRDC held the ESG Sustainability Report and Greenhouse Gas Inventory Kickoff Meeting, led by Chairman Ren-Yi Lin and President Yung-Hsiang Lai, along with senior management. The meeting brought together seven key stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, government agencies, academic institutions, industry associations/alliances, and the broader society, to collectively advance sustainability efforts. MIRDC established eight major themes to set sustainability goals and continuously drive ESG initiatives. The organization also implemented ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory standards, integrating ESG principles to create a positive impact and reaffirm its commitment to sustainable development.
2024 08 MIRDC’s Chemical Testing Laboratory (Certification No. 0195) received TAF supervision certification.
2024 07 MIRDC’s Electrical Safety Laboratory (Certification No. 1090) received a TAF certification extension.
2024 06 MIRDC's Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory (Certification No. 1150) obtained a TAF certification extension.
2024 06 MIRDC signed an MOU with the Thai-Taiwan Business Association, with the goal of promoting bilateral trade and business exchanges between Taiwanese and Thai companies under the New Southbound Policy.
2024 05 MIRDC and Japan’s AI HAYABUSA signed an MOU to establish an "Artificial Intelligence System Laboratory" for collaboration on AI algorithms for object image analysis, machine learning, and generative AI technologies. The partnership will focus on developing automation solutions for manufacturing lines, including identification, inspection, and prediction algorithms.
