On Oct. 4, TiTC was established as a company with MIRDC investment that serves to transfer finishing technologies of Ti-alloy dental implant fixture to the industry, thereby assisting the traditional sector in creating added value. Related patent and technology license fees amount to NT$3.5 million, and MIRDC had invested NT$1.205 million in TiTC to boost investor confidence and build investment momentum in light of the urgency for industrial development. |

On Sep. 8, MIRDC organized the “2010 Cross-Strait Forum on Value Creation for the Metal Material Industries,” which was commissioned by Department of Industrial Technologies of MOEA and co-organized by China Steel at Garden Villa Kaohsiung. Participated by 21 Chinese scholars and practitioners in the metal industries from China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Beijing Nonferrous Metal Research Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Beijing University of Technology, this seminar on industrial exchanges across the Taiwan Strait had contributed to establishing plausible modes of cooperation and to creating an environment that is open and conducive to industrial development. |

MIRDC launched the Hand-tool Industrial Cluster and Value Innovation Project, a R&D project that integrates the know-how of hand-tool manufacturing and warranty services and had successfully rolled out its first compact kit of precision and digitalized hand tools, all designed for a wide range of professional warranty services. The result was amazing user experience: the automobile compact tool kit features multi-function modular tool sets that enable diagnostics without disassembling the engine while accommodating narrow spaces and dead angles (Knowledge Application Services Section). |

MIRDC had leveraged its industrial experiences and knowledge and incorporated capabilities of private information service providers to set up the first-ever global channel/brand-name innovation and operation model for Taiwan’s bath industry. The overall image of MIRDC was also significantly promoted. |

The first wafer-level IC packaging automated exposure system was successfully developed under the cooperation between MIRDC and M&R Nano Technology. Supported by the Dominant New Product Development Project under the Department of Industrial Technologies of MOEA, this joint effort had overcome numerous technological hurdles over the course of 2 years that led to a successful product launch. This system boasts features that rivals and even outperforms imported models in capacity, automated precision alignment and system integration stability and at only half the price, and therefore has great benefits of reducing procurement costs and boosting competitiveness for the local industry. |
