MIRDC and KUAS Join Hands for Deploying Micro-precision Manufacturing
2014/12/30
MIRDC and National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences (KUAS) launched their joint venture of the Micro-precision Manufacturing Joint R&D Center on 29 December, 2014, bringing together research capacities and intellectual property rights of both sides to enable effective value-added industrial applications. Micro-precision manufacturing technologies are a key technical element with global implications. Wide applications in parts and components of medical devices and automobiles, the role of micro-precision technologies is increasingly important since such products are of high quality and difficult to imitate. Looking into the future, the Micro-precision Manufacturing Joint R&D Center will focus on industry-specific technologies for its R&D collaboration and IPR planning, so as to establish a comprehensive patent deployment. Both MIRDC and KUAS will continue strengthening this academic-research partnership of innovation capacities for joint R&D efforts of technology commercialization, thereby disseminating the success stories of industrial upgrade and consequently improving the overall competitiveness of the industries concerned. |
