On 8 July, 2015, MIRDC was officially approved as an accredited agency for the TAF ISO17021 management system, with the authority to issue 42 kinds of certificates under the three systems of ISO 9001/ 14001/ OHSAS 18001, making it the only government-sponsored accreditation agency in Taiwan for ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS18001. |

On 24th July, 2105, at the joint meeting of MIRDC boards of directors and supervisors, the incumbent MIDRC President Huang Chih-chuan was officially retired of age and replaced by Dr. Tsai Ming-chih upon election. A handover ceremony was also organized immediately after the election at the same meeting. |

This makes MIRDC the only government-funded foundation in Taiwan with the authority to issue all these three types of certificates. |

On June 5, 2015, MIRDC received from the Chinese Institute of Engineers an Outstanding Engineering Business Award, which recognizes organizations with robust and sound operations, outstanding performance, and noteworthy contributions to the society. On 20th May, 2015, as a result of efforts driven by MIRDC, the Taiwan Motor Industry Association was officially launched as the first-ever association for motor-related industries in Taiwan. This association aims to establish commerce platform for developing businesses and the entire motor industry and to help integrate and secure resources from governments, businesses, schools and research institutes. Furthermore, it strives to promote R&D and related activities of the motor industry in domestic and international markets, with the vision of making Motor in Taiwan (MIT) a symbol of high-efficiency and high-quality motors and related applications. |
