2018 01 MIRDC and Kwang Yang Motor Co., Ltd. signed a strategic alliance to effectively apply talents exchange and knowledge sharing of two parties in order to jointly promote technical development for increasing industrial competitive strength.
2017 12 MIRDC and Tainan Hydraulics Laboratory, National Cheng Kung University jointly established the first 100% locally-made 100KW tidal power generation system. The development is focused on new type vertical axis turbine, relies on physical hydraulic model test and mechanical fluid dynamics numerical model to conduct the tests of various function and the modification of vertical axis turbine that will locate the optimal process time and parameters and further break through the original power generation efficacy and improve the tidal power generation efficiency.
2017 12 On December 9, 2017, MIRDC's innovative technology, "Application of Particle Size Controllable Microcarrier Process Module in Vascular Embolization" obtained the "Academic and Research Innovation Award" of the 14th National Innovation Award. The technology also won the "Fundamental Industrial Technology" of the fifth National Industrial Innovation Award from the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The technology has obtained two large awards. The assistance of supersonic can control the forming of droplet and emulsifying volatile forming technology is able to produce micro-carrier with high quality, uniform particle size distribution that can successfully achieve the advantages of narrow particle size distribution, controllable medium particle size, mass production, less waste material and no blockage within micro channel. The technology expects to bring a new development opportunity for locally-made injectable anti-cancer medcicine with controllable release micro-carrier and cost reduction.
2017 12 On December 15, 2017, MIRDC introduced ithe simuluation and analytical tool of intelligent algorithm and analysis logic to assist the development and operation of electro-chemical machining process and complete the first electro-chemical free forming system in Taiwan that can significantly shorten the development schedule of electro-chemical customization.
2017 12 On December 22, 2017, MIRDC jointly signed an MOU with industrial, academic, research sectors in the marine technology field, including the representatives from industry, such as China Steel Corp., leading manufacturer of W-Team, CSBC Corporation, leading manufacturer of M-team, Chinese Ocean & Underwater Technology Association, Commercial Divers Labor Union Kaohsiung City, The Taiwan Society of Ocean Engineering, Taiwan Wind Industry Association, Taiwan Surface Finishing Association, Taiwan International Ports Corporation Ltd., academic representatives from Tainan Hydraulics Laboratory, National Cheng Kung University, College of Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National Kaohsiung Marine University, as well as Taiwan Ocean Research Institute. In total, 8 manufacturers and associations, 4 academic institutes and one research institute completed the MOU signing, being witnessed by Ying-bin Lin, acting director-general of Kaohsiung City Marine Bureau. MIRDC intended to gather the marine technology related industrial associations, academic and research sectors to jointly organize the Ocean Tech. Team (abbreviated as O-Team) with hope of cultivating more marine technology talents and facilitating the innovative development of marine technology industry.
2017 12 The Mou signing with Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research intended to conduct the collaboration of policy research and exchange.
2017 12 On December 15, 2017, the MOU signing with SGS Group Management Ltd. aimed to (1) to increase expertise and ensure the quality, safety and reliability of wind energy industry, (2) to cooperate in the field of offshore wind energy industry including relative research, certification, verification, inspection services, due diligence and technical seminar for offshore wind energy industry.
2017 11 MIRDC and JEOL Ltd. Japan signed a letter of intent to conduct the collaboration of plasma and e-beam equipment.
2017 10 On October 23, 2017, the patented technology of "Intelligent Near Net Forging Forming" won the “Platinum Award”in 2017 Taipei Intl Innvention Show & Technomart. The developed digital gear mold construction capability digitalizes the related gear design parameters, facilitating that Taiwan spiral gear manufacturers not only increase the processing precision, effectively reduce the material waste ratio, replace the previous mechanic processing and increase the production speed. In addiiton, the other five patented technologies, "non-contact electromagnetic induction in micron-sized metal double-layer film thickness measurement", "metal thickness measurement", "graphene film developed on low temperature physical vapor deposition (PVD)" " drone" and "automated guided vehicle (AGV)" won four gold metal and one bronze metal.
2017 10 MIRDC and WPD Taiwan signed an MOU to jointly facilitate and assist Taiwan government cultivate talents and institutes of project financing, due diligence for renewable energy to establish a successful financing mode for onshore and offshore wind farms in Taiwan.
