The Centre carries out research and development and provides an array of services for technology transfer to the industrial community.

MIRDC cooperates with National Pingtung University on Green Power vehicles to increase added-value through key technology.

National Pingtung University of Science and Technology Green Power Vehicle Center is a R&D team composed of 14 professors, majority from Department of Vehicle Engineering. It includes domestic automobile vehicle manufacturers, battery manufacturers, motor manufacturers and MIRDC to invent a domestic multi-functional automobile vehicle over a course of 3 years. This project has been funded by Technology Development Program for Academia, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and National Science
