Collaboration Between MIRDC and JQA: Assisting Industry to Develop New Business Opportunities

With the rejuvenation of various industries such as home appliances, hand tools, plumbing, steel, heavy electricity, fastener, etc., demands for such in the global market has been increasing as well. In view of this, MIRDC has continued its collaboration with Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) to expand the development as well as to enhance exchanges of technology consultation and personnel training. Under the guidance and witness of Industrial Development Bureau, MOEA, the “2019 Japan JIS/PSE Certification System Seminar” was held at the Innovation Value-added Center of Traditional Industry, MOEA on May 30th, 2019. Noriaki Kobayashi, the Managing Director of JQA, and the certification service assistant were invited to explain the certification system of Japan JIS/PSE in the hope of providing credible and effective services for domestic manufacturers and making them successfully develop the market in Japan.

Assisting domestic manufacturers in seeking opportunities has always been an important mission of MIRDC, and so the Seminar was held to further aim and explain the issues of “Mandatory and Non-mandatory Certification System towards Various Products”, “New Individual Enterprise Supporting Services of JQA”, and “Japan JIS/PSE Seal Certification System”. Through the business collaboration between MIRDC and JQA, it is hoped to provide diverse test and certification services in order to achieve the goal of enhancing international collaboration as well as accelerating export of products from Taiwan.

Dr. Ren Yi Lin, the Chairman of The Board from MIRDC stated that it has been a closer collaboration with JQA in the past 4 years. Exchanges of laboratory equipment, laboratory management, technology consultation, and personnel training were the primary focuses, and the aims this year are expanding service industries as well as providing more comprehensive certification services and customer consultation. It is believed that the Seminar can make a further progress of collaboration between Taiwan and Japan in terms of certification.

Nearly 140 manufacturers participated in the event, resulting in a grand and bustling scene. In the future, MIRDC will continue improving the certification business, progress in establishing overall development environment of industries, and create more new industrial values in the hope of leading domestic enterprises to expand to the world and becoming a new pioneering model of industries.
