2020 Clinical Practice and Business Matching Workshop was rounded off

In a bid to promote new technologies and enhance the clinical visibility of Taiwan's medical imaging industry, the Industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economic Affairs commissioned the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) to hold the "2020 Clinical Practice and Business Matching Workshop" on Thursday, September 10, 2020. The workshop was held at E-Da Hospital’s conference hall, and the event invited radiologists and physicians from E-Da Hospital, domestic medical imaging experts, clinical medical personnel and medical device manufacturers, the atmosphere was quite lively.

Global Medical Imaging Trends, published in 2017 by ITN Online, indicated that the global total number of medical images will increase at an annual compound rate of 5.1% from 2016 to 2021. Moreover, the production value of the medical imaging market is expected to grow more than US$3 billion by 2021, with a compound annual growth rate of 8%. As public health awareness continues to rise, the domestic medical imaging market in Taiwan is also expanding. As medical imaging provides crucial data for disease diagnosis, its market is growing rapidly.

Dr. Chih-Lung Lin, vice president of MIRDC said that this year's event was specially honored by the attendance of Dr. Chao-Tien Hsu, vice president of E-Da Hospital who also shared the experiences at the event. Major companies showcased their innovative technologies and exchanged ideas. The exhibited products included the Horus Digital Diagnostic Set _DSC 300P from Medimaging Integrated Solution Inc. (MiiS), a handheld X-ray machine from Po Ye X-Ray Mfg. Corp., an ultrasound imaging system from LELTEK INC., Retina Stereotactic Surgery Navigation Systems from EPED Inc., a portable X-ray dental device from Rolence Enterprise Inc., the handheld ultrasound breast screening system (BR-FHUS Navigation) and the Automated Breast Ultrasound, ABUS, from TaiHao Medical Inc. The innovation and creativity from these leading companies, showcase Taiwan’s skill in the medical imaging industry and demonstrate a collective commitment to add additional value to products, improve medical service quality, and provide better medical solutions for the people in Taiwan.
