2023 11 "The Cross-domain Digital Talent Acceleration Program" has been recognized as a 2023 Quality Learning Unit in Taiwan's digital development industry by IDA.
2023 11 MIRDC has been awarded the Silver in the Training Institution Edition of the Talent Quality Management System (TTQS) by Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor.
2023 11 MIRDC signed an MOU on "Smart Medical Clinical Trials and Field Verification" with Taichung Veterans General Hospital, which aims to expand substantial clinical exchanges, accelerate innovation in smart medical and healthcare fields, and collaborate on the development of high clinical demand and high market value smart medical products.
2023 11 Taipei Medical University Hospital, Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, and Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital have jointly signed a memorandum of cooperation for clinical trials and service cooperation strategy alliance. The domestically developed and independent research and development of the spinal minimally invasive surgery auxiliary system will be introduced into important medical centers in Taiwan to work together to improve the precision, safety, and efficiency of medical surgery and provide high-quality medical services.
2023 11 MIRDC has signed an MOU with Taisyou International Business Co., Ltd. to promote the development of domestic industry in carbon reduction technology and industry application, which cooperate on the CO2 mineralization technology and testing field for building materials.
2023 11 MIRDC and CPC Corporation, Taiwan have teamed up to promote the development of hydrogen transmission and storage safety inspection technology. They signed a memorandum of cooperation to establish the foundation for the safe application of hydrogen industry in Taiwan.
2023 11 On November 4, 2022, Mr. Chi-Lung Lin, Acting President of the MIRDC, presented the policy directions and implementation strategies for the year 2023 at the 13th board of directors and supervisors meeting of the 23rd term. MIRDC aims to become a premier international metal-technology R&D institute through value co-creation with industries. The organization has identified two major strategic axes, including deepening the core technical capacity and integrating domestic and foreign resources and cross-disciplinary innovation. The four main policy directions are TECH (focusing on core technology, creating an innovative environment, generating technical value, optimizing talent structure). Furthermore, MIRDC will continue to actively cooperate with national industrial policies such as the 2050 net-zero emissions, forward-looking infrastructure, and six core strategies, and execute the mission of the center in transforming and upgrading traditional industries in central and southern Taiwan. MIRDC is committed to enhancing its self-reliance in research and development, supporting industry value-added and upgrading efforts, and seeking continued support to establish long-term and stable R&D capabilities, to help Taiwan's industries respond to global challenges and achieve new heights.
2023 11 On November 21, 2023, Mr. Yung-Hsiang Lai, President of MIRDC, presented the policy directions and implementation strategies for the year 2024 at the 2nd board of directors and supervisors meeting of the 24th term. MIRDC aims to become a premier international metal-technology R&D institute through value co-creation with industries. The organization has identified two major strategic axes, including integrating domestic and foreign resources and cross-disciplinary innovation. The three main policy directions are 3C (creating an innovative environment, focusing on core technology, and linking cross-disciplinary collaboration). Furthermore, MIRDC will continue to actively cooperate with national industrial policies such as the 2050 net-zero emissions, forward-looking infrastructure, and six core strategies, and invest in innovative research and development to guide the center towards another peak. In the future, MIRDC will continue to strengthen its independent research and development capabilities, assist industries in adding value and upgrading, and achieve new heights in the industry.
2023 11 The term of office for the 23rd directors and supervisors of this center ends on November 4, 2022. If the election for the 24th directors and supervisors is not completed before the aforementioned date, the 23rd directors and supervisors will continue to serve until the 24th directors and supervisors take office.
2023 10 To expand the service capacity in the aerospace industry, promote domestic industry upgrading and transformation, and implement the development of aerospace technology in Taiwan, MIRDC held the establishment ceremony of the " Aerospace Science and Technology Industry Development Department" on October 3, 2023. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Chuan-Neng Lin, The Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, who unveiled the plaque and delivered a speech. MIRDC will continue to serve as a communication bridge between industry, government, academia, and research, and enhance the energy of the domestic aerospace supply chain system.
